IPL has always been a boon to new talent in Indian Cricket. Not only it allows them to brush shoulders with cricketing super stars but also it helps them to showcase their talent and skills. Since its inception IPL has been a venue where the new generation of players hog the limelight side by side with top class performers.
Paul is an aggressive batsmen who sometimes bowls medium pace. He has demonstrated high skills in batting and even Gilchrits applauded him. Paul suffered an injury in his eye two years back which delayed his appearance in first class cricket. But now he seems set to take up bigger challenge.
This year IPl helped find a player like Paul Valthaty who was not known much beyond his zone. Maybe he is a true blessing to the Indian team which suffers from the inconsistency in a dependable opening batsman. We also found players like Robin Uthappa, Rohit Sharma excel against world class bowlers with dynamic performance. Both are batsman with lot of promise and dependable and can definitely prove their worth if selected for the National squad.
Lets hope the Indian team benefits from incision of these new talents in the National Squad thus making them powerful and formidable.
