I personally like day-night matches,so that a person can keep a track easily.Are all matches day-night or not and why not?

I learned about the timings only today as I was trying to find out whether all matches are day and night. It seems that most of them start around 1.30 PM GMT which would mean 7 PM IST and some start around 2.30 GMT and 9.30 GMT that is 8.00 PM and 3.00 PM respectively. Match timings are subject to change depending on various conditions.
One thing is that most probably, the matches, most of them would be in a day-night setting!

I personally also like the day night machetes because the atmosphere is too good during night I likes the atmosphere of night as compare to day's time.

And moreover, the celebrities who'd perform on the stages may not like to be dancing in the scorching sun and burn their skin,lol .So nights are the obvious choices even for them to sizzle the crowd.My problem is that my afternoons aren't off .So I will have to find a way to keep myself updated with the afternoon matches although there aren't many.

True - but someone said matches are schedule to start in the morning hours. Can someone confirm the esact timings...

Super, if you look at my first post in the thread , you will find a link to a website that has all the timings for the IPL matches.Most of them are during the evening hours , but a handful are during the afternoon session.Just 17 more days to go!! Smile

yes most of the matches are day night but there can be some changes depending on the situation.i also like the day night matches.lets see what will be the exact schedule.

Certainly most of matches will be day night. With the view of current hot temperature is mercury rising IPL management certainly think and choose the day night schedule. Other thing is Atmosphere and Environment of Day Night match is really electrifying ... but some of matches will be day as well ...

well mostly the matches will start at around 7 pm IST!
& it is the best timing for such small duration matches!

Day Night Matches really bring the true thriller in One day Internationals and every cricket lover want to see match on day night schedule. But IPL match schedule are the mixture of day night and day time.

But I think TV ratings will be high for Day Night Matches as every officer goer will come to home and will enjoy the match. So no doubt broadcaster will charge more for showing ads on day night matches.

Day and night matches will be good to see. But anyways, if the next day is going to be a working day, then the whole mood will be spoiled off. And still think about the audience. How long will they take time to reach home. It will be very very late

Time for all matces are too good because the time of entertainment is (7 pm to 11pm ) nice.

no, all matches not day night. some match start 04.00 pm IST.
