Repeat matches shown on TV are usually carelessly scheduled and are of not any practical advantage for the viewer. This time I hope the schedule of these will be suitable.

Well, the matches will be televised on different networks around the world . In India , I believe it will be available on Sony Max and I am sure they'd like to make the best of their multimillion dollars investment into the television rights. They'd surely advertise the repeat telecasts , but I daresay those will only be shown after the inaugural IPL tournament ends or at least till the teams reach the semifinals because the matches are scheduled to be played every day. They'd surely not like to miss out on the advertising revenue and the advertisers too won't like them to surprise viewers with undeclared repeat telecasts.

yes, but popular matches or exciting matches can be shown the next day! Not to mention the loss of those, who won't be able to catch it live, they will definitely make it available next day!

They will certainly do that ... because showing highlights also generated revenue to TV channels and they dont want to miss even a single penny. But true thriller, as Sanjay said, is watching live cricket because at that moment you will match your voice with others and cherish when ever your favourite batsman hit sixes

As previously stated, it would depend entirely on your location and the network who has the rights in your area. I believe with the massive amount of money broadcasters have committed to the league would point to a high amount of repeats. However, for me it won't matter. I bought a hard drive recorder just for the league, and as such will be recording every single game Smile

Repeat airings would be good for people who are working at the time, a lot of work in my country is over a 2, 3 or 4 shift period and so long as one kept away from a radio news service score summary the repeat would be handy. Having said that Australian networks TEN and TEN HD wont be airing repeats anyway. Some folks will probably use video or DVD recorders

It is really a worrying factor that only set max has the rights to telecast the match. No other channels will telecast it. People like me will not get the chance to see the matches unless we have the set top box. I dont have a settop box and i cannot view any of the matches. It really sucks to be like this.
