During India's recent to Australia , Harbhajan singh was booed following his alleged racist remarks towards Andrew Symonds in the Sydney test match.Even during the one day internationals the Aussie media had news on Harby during every match.

Now that Symonds is visiting India for the IPL matches , will he be booed by the Indian crowd like Harbhajan Singh was booed during the tour down under or will Symonds get fans from the Hyderabad team to cheer for him ? He is only going to participate for two weeks , but two weeks in IPL is a lot of matches . How do you think Symonds would react if he is booed by the crowd in Hyderabad ?

I think that if Symonds plays well for Hyderabad, then he might not be booed by the crowd. Indian crowd is supposed to be more disciplined.

Well I am sure Indian fans will booed during the tour down under becuase he is villan for Indian fans. He is a good player but he have to pay the price for Harbhajan singh's case. IPL officer should control Indian fans otherwise we would see some high drama in IPL.

Yes.. Indian fans can be very funny and violent too... even Gavaskar was not spared at Eden gardens... Its difficult to build up a game but easy to spoil one Wink

Well, from the looks of it , the forced gag on both the players regarding the incident is supposed to have settled matters and even Hayden extended an olive patch a few days back which many see as a tact to get the Indian crowds on his side , but underneath the calm surface, there still must be undercurrents between Harbhajan Singh and Andrew Symonds. Granted , there might not be much banter between the two following the ICC ban on sledging , yet they are passionate people and it's T20 , not test cricket. So no one can rule out some fireworks from both gentlemen.

Oh surely the million dollars will silence them up a bit Wink but it's only human to answer back when questions are asked Smile So I wouldn't be surprised if they start making front page headlines again instead of being pushed to the sports section of the newspapers. Heck, those guys should probably charge their franchises even more because half the crowd built-up would be just to watch them taking on each other.

I don't think so that Indian crowd will going to be violent. I think they will react normal to symonds. And they should give the respect to symonds because we are Indians not ....

If you are proven to be right , then that'd be a good message to send out , but I personally don't see how Symonds would avoid getting booed mate. I have seen this crowd head to every game with an eye for an eye attitude and I don't see it changing anytime soon , but I don't have the heart to criticize it because the seeds of this were sown somewhere else. I do hope that I am proven wrong and you guessed it right Smile

Watchout , he will be playing for a team very close to you . I just can't get over his tackle of the streaker on the Brisbane ground ,lol. I felt as if he was taking out his frustrations with the Indian cricket team on that poor streaker, lol and to think that many people actually applauded him for that is mind boggling, lol.

symonds is a great player but he lacks the game spirit so he has to pay for it.it would be no surprise if he will be treated in a bad way by indians.but i think indians will not retaliate...
