| A lot of companies have begun investing in IPL teams..even actors like Mithun Chakraborty have come out to buy minor stakes in teams...Do you feel it is a safe investment at this time? Or are they taking a gamble? |

Mithun in ICL or IPL?
the investments are safe as long as teams/boards survive and they get crowds (=advertisers )! |

Well this is very well calculated gamble ... and every player of this gamble game ... such as Shahrukh, Anil Ambani, Vijay Mallaya knows that they will get their money back. Now question is how much they will get back two times, three times or more than that.
They really knows that Cricket is the only game which generate money in India |

well cricket is a religion in India. So i think it is the safest bet these days for these companies.
cricket is the only thing abt which they can be sure that it'll return much more than they expect |

Great comment. I personally believe the hugh amounts of money involve make this a major risk for companies, especially in a brand new league which may or may not succeed. Some companies have invested for a decade worth of involvement, and the very first tournament has not even been played.
Their investments rely heavily on whether the IPL succeeds or not and to what degree. It's really up to us, the viewer, to make that happen. |

| I think so it will be worth investing the money in IPL. But i do not know how safe will it be in the long run. If i have the money and wanted to invest, better i will invest it for the short term and then see the responses for the league. If it happens with the same energy and hype then i will look to continue the job. |

| well i dont think that there is any sort of gamble in it because we can see that how people are going crazy to watch these matches, so investing in this is not a wrong decision. |

Yes IPL is worth the money. Those folks who don't get on this gravy (cricket) train are going to miss out on an exciting concept. Congatulations India for having the courage to put it on. I can't wait for it to start
It's to be aired live into my country on normal TV and HD, can't wait, cannot wait |

Investing in the IPL is like buying an international AD instead you are only paying for it as a national or local ad......so many around the world watch the IPL and all the countries are involved this is why glamour makes it more interesting and good on the eyes!!
so the answer is yes |
