Look to be the hard hitting, quick bowling team in the tournament. Any team that offers Tendulkar and Jayasuriya will be a class side add Uthappa to the equation and batting wise you have a good side. Bowling wise Malinga is one of the most effective bowlers in the world and could cause great damage and ultimately win them the trophy. However Pollock could be the man to watch in this side.

This is one of the top teams of the tournament. With the best batsmen this is a tough side to beat.In such T20 league tournaments, the chance factor plays the most important role and only luck can run them off.

I think the team is missing a bowler , even two. Don't know how effective Jayasuriya will be with his bowling. The only bowlers who look motivated enough to win matches singlehandedly are Harbhajan Singh and Lasith Malinga. Fernando hasn't been in the best of forms either. I'd have hoped a cash rich team like Ambani would have got a better team in place , but if Sachin and Uthappa shine together , then they wouldn't need too many bowlers great to win.

yes team is having great players.although it is having our spinner bhajji but what will happen if he will go out of form.i think there should be more spinners in the team.expectations are quite high from sachin so, lets see the results.

Although this team have some very big names ... but we have to accept that they all are come under senior category ... so we just wait and watch ... whether old tigers have same old power or new tigers will take the charge ...

The Mumbai team has got 2 disadvantages. One is that they do not have a keeper. And next is the match will heavily depend on Robin uthapa. If he performs well in the middle order, am sure they can make a mark in the innings. If he fails to do so, then tail enders cannot do much. What do you say about this?

I am agree with Lalit ... they have some big names but you should not forget that Sachin himself withdraw his name from the twenty 20 world cup squad ... no doubt Sachin is very composed batsman and put himself in any kind and any pattern of cricket very easily ... but this is just the game of 120 balls so very rare time to adjust ... you have to keep your mind frame in that fashion from the very first ball ...

I think this is a side of high quality, which is reflected in their salary budget. This is a team which would be difficult to rule out, despite one or two weaknesses.

Sachin is worth every cent of the $1,121,250. He is all class. In Australia recently he acquitted himself as a professional in every aspect of the game of cricket. We love him here, he is a wonderful man.

Later..... Woops Embarassed and Bhajji is on this team too, I thought he did an excellent job here in Australia in the recent series, big fan of the man, me, wonderful cricketer

I think everyone here speaks only about the captain of the team. There are other players too in the team. Sachin alone cannot bring success to the team. Yes he is the perfect batsman. But he is not going to play ODI matches and its a T20 format. Sanath will play a important role in opening the match with blasters.

Yes, this side may prove to be the most high scoring team....

Well the big deal is going to start and the Mumbai Indians are very much geared up to face the contest. But the sad thing is that Sachin will not be a part of their first match. Am sure they will miss the captain on an auspicious note.

hey, what has happened to this team????
at start they were one of my favorites, but without Sachin , MIs are looking very low in confidence Sad
& above that , the way Bhajji has behaved with Sreesanth after the loss ???Embarassed
I surely never expected all this from such a gud team on paper
