well what to say?
rain is spoiling almost every game now. & the teams batting 1st are paying the price for it.
so do u think D/L method is the right solution to such problems?

the D/L system does give an advantage to the team batting second but as of now there doesnt seem to be any other feasible solution. if we consider playing the matches again, with so many matches being played already, the tournament may really get extended if more than a couple of matches were to be washed out.

At the moment D/L method is the best way to decide on an incomplete match.
Also if 1-1 point is shared for drawn matches in IPL, it is going to affect the points table as both teams will progress in odd-points and in a tightly contested event like this, it is better to declare a better positioned team as winner rather than sharing points between the two teams.
So to get a result, there is no other option than D/L at the moment.
And I believe all teams and captains in IPL must respect the rule as it is same for all and abide by it until some other better rule is approved by ICC and put into usage.

D/L system is the best way devised till date but it cannot be disagreed that its not complete. the captains do respect the rule and except the decision by the system but i guess that it can still be revised and get a system so that there is no undue advantage to any team

Yes, though D/L was meant for a 50 over match, as of now there is nothing else to decide matches which are interrupted... so D/L [ Death and Loss for some ] Wink

I feel each team should be awarded a point each.
