Rajasthan Royals vs Mumbai Indians at Jaipur
Indians will have to win this match this match to keep their semi final chances under their own control. Else they will need Deccan who are not in that good a form to beat Chennai. Royals on the other hand would not want this dangerous Mumbai side to advance and would definitely like to make like difficult for them by beating them here.
Men at the Helm
Shane Warne has been simply superb throughout the league and everything he’s touched has turned gold. He would to be looking to try out a few combinations before the knock out stages start. Sachin on the other hand has been calm and cool but not been as sharp and quick as required for such a fast paced game. He mismanaged the distribution of overs in the match against Punjab and the team selection too has lacked thought. He has banked too much on the opponents’ weaknesses rather than his team’s strength.
We have the bat
Rajasthan batsmen are in superb form. Even Kaif who is considered a hard working, swift running cricketer and not a big hitter has been hitting them into the stands. This team has been superb in the middle overs which has been the weakness of most teams. Mumbai have Jayasuriya in rich form, Uthappa is also coming handy but they need to improve their performance between eighth and fifteenth overs where they have been dismal.

We have the ball
Pollock and Nehra have bowled well for Mumbai but Nehra is susceptible to being hit around and may end up going for big runs. They have a huge problem with fourth and fifth bowlers not being at all reliable. They are missing Harbhajan big time. Pollock, Nehra and Nel need to come up with the goods. Rajasthan on the other hand been quite well served by the discipline of all their bowlers. Tanvir and Warne have been awesome with their variations and Munaf and Siddharth Trivedi have been quite accurate. Watson has had many a batsmen in tangle, beating them for pace. Yusuf Pathan too has lent consistent support.
Patrolling Party
Rajasthan Royals have been very good in the field while Mumbai have had too many off days in the fielding. They need to raise this part of their game to provide support to the likes of Pollock, Nel and Nehra.
High on betting meter
On some betting meters both the teams are placed at level owing to Rajasthan’s good form and the result of the last match between these two teams where Mumbai had won comfortably. On others Rajasthan are slightly higher owing to Mumbai’s dip in form.
Who gets the tick?
Rajasthan start as slight favorite but what Sachin, Jayasuriya, Pollock and Uthappa do will be vital to Mumbai’s cause.
