Deccan Chargers Vs Chennai Super Kings
It’s the last league game for both these teams. Hyderabad are languishing at the bottom of the table and this is their last chance to win a game at home. For Chennai, this is an extremely important game. A victory here and they will progress to the next round. Though Chennai start as favourites, they haven’t been in the best of form of late: A shock defeat at the hands of Bangalore, when they failed to chase a meagre 127 was followed by a 10-run defeat against Rajasthan.
What if Chennai lose today? If Chennai lose today and Mumbai win tomorrow, Mumbai will advance on account of better net run rate. (Chennai’s current NRR is -0.241 while Mumbai’s is +0.531). Should Mumbai lose tomorrow, Chennai will go through to the semis(Chennai are on 14 points, Mumbai are on 12)

Adam Gilchrist Vs Manpreet Gony will be the bowling rivalry to watch. Gony has been usually successful in picking up wickets in his first spell but will he able to restrict the hard-hitting Gilchrist? And how will Rohit Sharma, Deccan’s best batsman by a distance, fare against Muralitharan?
Also, this being Deccan’s last game of the season, they might try to bring in some fringe players. Chennai will go in with their best side. They are likely field the same eleven that played against Rajasthan.
Star Watch: Suresh Raina showed he was capable of dispatching the ball to all parts of the ground this weekend. Chennai will be looking to him for another destructive innings. And of course, Albie Morkel whose heroics almost took Chennai to victory the other night. Deccan bowlers will have a hard time containing him.
One of Deccan’s two victories came against Chennai. The last time these sides met, Deccan Chargers registered a comprehensive victory, winning by 7 wickets after restricting Chennai to 144.
Chennai Super Kings have been patchy while Deccan Chargers have been pathetic in the field. They need to show some intent. Chennai are higher on some betting meters while the two are level on others. Chennai haven’t been betting well and seem to be struggling in bowling too. DC might just pull it off.
