Shaun Marsh adds a brilliant finish to IPL league
May 29th, 2008Editorial
IPL started with Brandon McMullum firing for Kolkata Knight Riders and today the league ended with one of the most powerful batting display by none other than Shaun Marsh with a superb knock of 115 (seven sixes and eleven fours) of just 69 balls. His knock ensured a smooth and confidence-boosting win for Kings XI Punjab just before the semis while it put a break to the no one team Rajasthan Royals winning streak.
Rajasthan Royals played the match today under the captain ship of Shane Watson in absence of Shane Warne who after winning toss decided to field.
James Hopes(51) and Shaun Marsh both went on and on with each master stokes shadowing the earlier one to the utter delight of the crowd. Yuvraj (49) also joined later for another round of display of power cricket.

Rajsthan bowling was not upto the mark while Piyush Chawla booked 3 wickets and Irfan Pathan managed 4 overs with just 10 runs.
Assuming that these two teams reach the finals -well, then we have witnessed a dress rehearsal of sort and can imagine the great fireworks waiting for us. There is the first one-day break tomorrow after the start of IPL before the semi-finals on Friday.
