Shoaib Akhtar seeks devine intervention to help him through current crisis

April 7th, 2008

Shoaib Akhtar requested all his friends and weel wishers to pray for him at Haji ALi. With the current ban Shoaib cannot play IPL and his career as a Cricketer is virtually finished.

Friends of Akhtar, who is doubtful of playing the lucrative Indian Premier League too, offered namaaz and a flowerbed on behalf of the troubled fast bowler on Friday.

“I hope Almighty makes things fine for me. I have told friends in Mumbai to offer prayers and make a mannat for me at the dargah,” Shoaib said over the telephone from Pakistan.

Akhtar needs a no-objection certificate from the PCB, to play in the Twenty20 matches of IPL, beginning April 18.

The PCB imposed the ban, as he had violated a code of conduct while under probation. IPL chairperson Lalit Modi restricted him from playing for the league without obtaining an NOC from the PCB.

Irrespective of anything and everything it is really sad that such a cricketer will go waste for once and all.
