Indian bowler Sreesanth recently involved in the slap-gate controversy with Harbhajan Singh, will not be playing the Bangladesh Tri Series due to back injury. The rigorous and hectic schedule of the recently concluded IPL where the teams played more than fourteen games traveling from one region to another has taken its first toll on the Indian National ODI Team.
Sreesanth had quite a performance in IPL where he played for the IPL Jaipur Team - Kings XI Punjab where he bagged 19 wickets conceding 442 runs at an economy arte of 8.65. The absence of Sreesanth will definitely affect the pace battery of the Indian ODI team . However there are enough talents right now like Laximipathi Balaji among others and it should not be difficult to feel up the space,
Sreesanth would be reporting to the Bangalore Fitness Camp for further assessment of his condition before it is known for how long he would be absent from the National Side.

The efforts to organize Champions League, a knock out competition between the top two teams of the domestic T20 tournaments in various countries are well on the way. In all likeliness the tournament will be held in a 10 day window that exists in the ICC calendar between the final of the Champions trophy on September 28th and the start of the Bangalore test between India and Australia on October 9th. Most of the things are in place with Board presidents co-ordinating with each other except for the Venue which can well be UAE or India.
Popular belief says that this tournament isn’t going to be much interesting because the Indian Premier League sides will prove too much for others but this tournament could well end the same way as IPL did for those who had written out Rajasthan Royals. If the tournament as it is likely is staged in England the local players in IPL sides will have their task cut out with the ball seaming and swinging.

Indian Premier League (IPL) have decided to maintain the Cap of USD 5 Million for Player acquisition as it feels that removing the cap could take the blood out of the competition.
Very recently Ricky Ponting who played in IPL before going back to Australia insisted that the scrapping of the salary cap could ruin the tournament by allowing the mega-rich franchises to grab all the big boys.
However IPL have decided to open a Transfer Window for players as early as Februray but this will not be applicable for the Icons like - Sachin Tendulkar, Shewag, Rahul Dravid, Ganguly, Yuvraj and Dhoni. Otherwise if any player and franchisee comes at an understanding there can be a transfer of Players between Franchisees.
